WORKSHOPS
Sat 5th Sept New Lines. Script Writing Workshops for aged 16-21 yr olds. Free…. 10.30 til 12.30pm
working with The Theatre Factory from Barrow’s Ashton Group. Developing your script idea and creating a treatment. Three plays will be chosen to go into production with £500 budget and professional company.
Sat 12th Sept Drumming for ages 8+ Rural Edge Drummers have been performing for a couple of years now but we have opened up the age range to 8yr olds. We want to form a bigger band with full percussion. Come along and see if you like it.
Sat 19th Sept Theatre Design and making puppetry/shadow puppets. Working with a professional theatre designer.
If you don’t want to get up on the stage but you are interested in Theatre design then come along and work with the very established Ali McCaw

Dance continues at The Beggar’s Theatre!! Bollywood!!
Drumming is back working through several workshops. Thurs 6.30 -8.30 pm and sat 5th dec.. I would really like to gather some more drummers, of younger and older ages than previously. We would like to create a percussion group which will include our Rural Edge Drummers with the Samba drums and younger kids and maybe even parents working on percussion!!! If you are interested, please let us know!!!!!
EVENTS and WORKSHOPS We held a meeting for all community groups who would be interested in joining in on our forthcoming three year project, The Millom Mysteries. Everyone who came was really interested and we are currently applying for funding for this three year project which will be very exciting and very wide spread for the whole community!! MASK WORKSHOPS We had some fantastic days in the Easter hols, making masks which turned out to be absolutely fantastic!! We followed these up with a great day of learning how to perform with masks and creating some performances for our Christmas production in the Square on st 12th Dec. Mask workshops have been fantastic and you will see the results on thurs 10th and sat 12th dec!  
We have our show coming up… ” The Beggars’ Tale….a journey into uncertainty” Thurs 10th Dec 7.30pm at The Beggar’s Theatre and as part of the Christmas Festival in the Market Square on Sat 12th december Starting our procession at 4pm from the church. please contact Jakki on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or telephone the number on our website. We have a very busy time ahead and are hoping to continue to grow in our groups and members. If there is another art form you would like to get involved with and we don’t currently run, please let us know!!!
